Parts of Songs of Ourselves Volume 2 are set for study in Cambridge IGCSE®, O Level and Cambridge International AS & A Level Literature in English syllabuses. Following on from the popular Songs of Ourselves 1, the anthology includes work from over 100 poets, combining famous names – such as William Blake, Emily Dickinson and Les Murray – with lesser-known voices. This helps students to create fresh and interesting contrasts as they explore themes that range from nature to war.

Written in English by authors from different countries and cultures, the anthology includes works by Charles Dickens, H.G. Wells, Virginia Woolf, Graham Greene, V.S. This Core practice book accompanies the Cambridge IGCSE® Mathematics Core and Extended Coursebook and provides students with additional practise activities focused on the skills required for the (0580/0980) syllabus. These activities are ideal as extra classroom materials, homework activities or self-study. Answers are included at the back of the book to help students track their progress.
The Cambridge IGCSE® Mathematics Extended Problem-solving Book delivers a range of problems with fully worked solutions that develop students' mathematical thought. The resource gives students the opportunity to practise the range of mathematics skills covered in the Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics (0580) syllabus. The questions in the book encourage students to think widely about how to apply their knowledge to a broad range of tasks and problems. This helps to develop mathematical logic and key skills, such as reasoning, interpreting, estimating and communicating mathematically.
This print and digital coursebook has been developed from extensive research through lesson observations, interviews and work with our research community (the Cambridge Panel) to meet specific needs. Activities and questions develop students’ essential skills, including practical work. English as a second language learners are supported with command terms, accessible language and glossary definitions. Exam-style questions build student confidence. Projects provide opportunities for assessment for learning, cross-curricular learning and developing skills for life. There are multiple opportunities to engage in active learning, from role-play activities to discussions and debates. In each chapter students are given the chance to reflect on their work, helping them become responsible, independent learners, thinking not just ‘what’ they did well or not well, but ‘why’ and ‘how’ they came up with the answer they did, and how they might improve this in future. Regular self-assessment and peer-assessment features give students the opportunity to assess their own work or the work of their peers in relation to the learning intentions and learn from one another. Answers to all questions and exercises can be found online at www.cambridge.org/go.
